Deceit

It had started with the removal of the female aspect of the Godhead, before they had venerated the negative and positive aspects of the Devine or the male and female and worshipped only the male aspect. Thus, women were cast down in the eyes of men and the old ways were eroded over the course of time. They cut down the ancient trees, because they held wisdom, they felled the oak for a floor and wanted nothing of nature. They despised anything that was pure and sought knowledge that they held for themselves, and murdered the wisdom keeper from whom they had stolen the secrets of wisdom and nature. They sought to hold power over people and poisoned their minds, they were the only ones who could read and write, they held the knowledge and power and you held nothing. You gave to them willingly in order to secure your desires, and through that artifice, they gained control of your mind. The forests disappear and the air grows thin, the water rankles the tongue, and the smoke cauterises the lungs but this is what they want, to deceive, to rape and to pillage. Deep in the night, when all sleep and they step softly in, no one hears and no trace is left, all is well.
